  1. It's been replaced by Windows Package Manager https://devblogs.microsoft.com/commandline/windows-package-manager-preview/
  2. How taxing is that on the server? My concern is that I will end up with a ton of pending scripts and a small window for these rouge agents checking in and for that scheduled script to run.
  3. Is there a reasonable way to have this automatically run when an agent checks into a certain location?
  4. Just to clarify, the hostname and port should be whatever the web server responds to. I think 8040 is the default for hosted but many on-prem partners have used https as its also used for AD-HOC sessions. Great script - thanks for putting this together.
  5. But what if the key changes while the machine is offline and then the machine got locked out? Your key will be useless and since that volume is locked, there's no way for you to get an updated key. There is a chance this can happen and you will have to have a very awkward conversation with your customer.
  6. Just wondering how many people are actually storing keys in their database? I have some issues storing this information (even encrypted). If something were to happen, you'd be putting a lot of your customers at risk. What about if the volume is encrypted again and the script didn't run to collect the pew key? I'm assuming a new key is created. It would put me in a pretty bad position if the TPM failed or there was a hardware change happened and I didn't have the key.
  7. I'm not aware of a way through permissions, its very on/off. You could remove the permission to delete machines then create a script with some logic (ie if EDF checked or part of group) then don't delete, otherwise run the stored procedure for computer delete.
  8. Host file entry? Scripting that wont be hard....just keep in mind of existing hostfile entries.
  9. I just edit the EDFs. Just takes a couple seconds during customer on boarding.
  10. I actually think Cisco made some changes thats preventing the plugin from working. Mine sadly stopped working and I have not patched (my prod is on patch 3). It's easy enough to modify the install script to read from a few EDFs but you will need to manually enter the required data.
  11. Until Cisco figures out their own API's, I don't think we will see much movement with this plugin
  12. Don't take this personally but your in IT,. things change and you need to adopt or you will be left behind. Your support tools are no different then learning any other new technology.
  13. Just to be clear, you want a ticket created in ConnectWise Manage (synced from ConnectWise Automate) with billable time? For patching, I suggest you check out: https://docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Automate/ConnectWise_Automate_Documentation/070/180 Everything else: https://docs.connectwise.com/ConnectWise_Automate/ConnectWise_Automate_Knowledge_Base_Articles/Scripting%3A_Enabling_Ticket_Time_in_LabTech
  14. Thanks - While I do like the idea of OneDrive, the setup is a bit too much. I dont know if MS offers some type of token or an easier way to set this up. I am thinking of much larger companies deploying OneDrive for business and finding ways to bypass/automate the login. One more question. We work with a 3rd party company who provides us Cloud Connect repository credentials. Is there a way to add their repository to my Cloud Connect server and make it available to the veeam agent for windows? I ran it by another tech and he mentioned it may double up on the Cloud Connect licensing bit.
  15. Thanks! I fired up VAC over the weekend and I really like it. Is there any plans to add OneDrive For Business support in the backup polices? Using some type of delegated admin creds for Office365 would be ideal. My issue is I have 30+ users who I need to deploy the Windows Agent but they want to use OneDrive For Business as their target - they dont want to pay for extra storage (our cloud connect storage) but it seems like setup may cost more than storage at this point. Thanks for your help Vitaliy - I know I should be posting on the Veeam forums but I am hoping to peak some intere
